Supplier Evaluation Software for Manufacturers

Structured scoring for suppliers, processes, and products

A supplier whose packages keep coming back can still look fine on a scorecard nobody updates. Here the scorecard is computed from what the supplier actually sent you: PPAP evaluation scores, on-time delivery, and how many packages were approved. Process audits run from checklists you configure, product evaluations check parts against their specifications, and a finding from a PPAP evaluation opens a CAPA in one step.

Capabilities

What Evaluate does

Supplier ScorecardsCore

Each supplier gets a weighted score: quality from its PPAP evaluation scores (50%), on-time delivery (30%), approved packages (10%), and responsiveness (10%, held at a neutral 50 on the scorecard).

Process Audits

Run layered process audits, supplier audits, and system audits from checklist templates you configure, each with a scheduled date.

Product Evaluations

Run incoming, final, and first-article evaluations against specification requirements, with specs filled in from the part in your Part Library.

Risk Tiers

Rate a supplier on quality, delivery, compliance, and responsiveness during qualification, and the overall score sets its risk tier: 85 and up is low, 70 to 84 medium, 50 to 69 high, below 50 critical.

Supplier Documents

Keep each supplier's certificates and quality documents on its record, with expiration dates in view.

Scoring Analytics

Chart PPAP evaluation scores over 7, 30, or 90 days, compare active suppliers side by side, and export the supplier ranking to CSV.

Who does what

Evaluation: the software prepares, an engineer decides.

Prepared by the software

  • Reads each document in a supplier's PPAP submission with an AI model, pulls out the data, and checks it against the elements its submission level requires
  • Sets the disposition from fixed rules on the findings: any critical finding, or more than two major ones, rejects; one or two major findings make it conditional
  • Computes each supplier's weighted scorecard from its PPAP evaluation scores, on-time delivery, and approved packages
  • Drafts a supplier self-assessment questionnaire from the supplier's industry, certifications, risk tier, and open issues
  • Opens a CAPA pre-filled from a PPAP evaluation finding, in one click

Decided by an engineer

  • Approves or rejects each document change the software proposes from a corrective action or an engineering change, before it is applied
  • Approves, rejects, or waives each PPAP element, and approves or rejects the submission
  • Approves NCR dispositions and signs off each corrective action
  • Signs control plans, PFMEAs, and other title-block documents by role, and enters the authorized signature on the warrant

Signed in the app: typed signature, name, date

Workflow

How it works

  1. 01Choose a supplier scorecard, process audit, product evaluation, or PPAP evaluation
  2. 02Score against the checklist or specification, or run the PPAP evaluation
  3. 03Review the findings and the disposition
  4. 04Open a CAPA from any finding that needs one
  5. 05Compare suppliers and export the ranking

Use cases

Built for quality professionals across industries

  • Supplier quality engineers managing supplier scorecards and audits
  • Quality managers conducting layered process audits (LPA)
  • Incoming quality teams evaluating materials against specifications
  • IATF 16949 lead auditors tracking conformance trends
  • OEMs and primes scoring Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier performance
  • Quality directors needing data-driven supplier development decisions

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is automated supplier evaluation?
Automated supplier evaluation scores suppliers from the data you already collect instead of from a scorecard someone fills in by hand. In QualityEngineer.ai, a supplier's score is computed from its PPAP evaluation results, its on-time delivery, and how many of its packages were approved. An AI model is used to read the documents in a PPAP submission; the scoring, the checks, and the disposition are fixed rules, so the same data gives the same score every time.
How does QualityEngineer.ai score suppliers?
Two ways. The scorecard is computed: quality from the supplier's average PPAP evaluation score (50%), on-time delivery (30%), the share of its packages approved (10%), and responsiveness (10%, held at a neutral 50 on the scorecard). The weights follow the AS9100D supplier guide and are fixed. During qualification you rate the supplier on the same four dimensions yourself, and the overall score sets its risk tier: 85 and up is low, 70 to 84 medium, 50 to 69 high, below 50 critical.
Can I use this for IATF 16949 supplier audits?
Yes, as the place you run and record them. Supplier, process, and system audits run from checklist templates you build, so you can load the IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3 questions your customer expects. Supplier records carry IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certification status and certificate expiration dates. The platform does not ship a ready-made IATF 16949 audit checklist.
What types of evaluations does the platform support?
Four: supplier scorecards (weighted scores and rankings), PPAP evaluations (a supplier's submission checked element by element), process audits (layered process, supplier, and system audits from configurable checklists), and product evaluations (incoming, final, and first-article checks against specification requirements). A finding from a PPAP evaluation can open a CAPA directly.
How is this different from spreadsheet-based supplier scoring?
A spreadsheet score is only as current as the last person who typed into it. Here the scorecard is computed from PPAP evaluations, deliveries, and dispositions as they happen, trends show evaluation scores over time, and a PPAP finding becomes a CAPA without retyping it. When that CAPA changes a Control Plan or PFMEA, the change is proposed for an engineer to approve and apply, never written in silently.
